The box is not built. Prices, dates, specifications and performance figures on this site are engineering targets for a reference design, not shipping specifications, and the figures drawn on the phone and television screens are illustrations rather than measurements. What the software does today, and what it does not, is listed claim by claim.

Woven Core

Your files, photos, smart home, TV and Wi-Fi, kept inside the house.

From $8991, shipping in 20272. The box is not built yet, and a reservation takes no money. The software runs on a Mac today.

A bone-white Woven Core: an 18 by 16 by 18 centimetre metal box with perforated sides, a small front screen and the woven wordmark on the lower fascia. The screen reads "WOVEN CORE" and the local time in the header, an amber light in the centre, the word "Ready." beneath it, and the status line "12 devices · inside".

Store

Every device backs up to the box.

Phones, laptops and cameras sync to 1 TB of encrypted storage that never leaves the house. Photos are indexed on the box by faces, places and dates. Media plays to any screen on the network.

Two tool-less drive sleds take you to sixteen terabytes without opening a settings menu.

  • 1 TB included, encrypted at rest
  • Backup and sync for every device in the household
  • Photo library indexed inside, searchable by what is in them
  • Camera clips saved on the box, never uploaded

ThinkWith the box

A 8–20B model, resident and private.

32 GB of unified memory keeps a 8–20B-class model loaded beside speech, embedding and vision models, so Tandem answers in under a second without anything crossing the Gate.

When a job needs more, Tandem asks first, sends the minimum, and writes down exactly what left.

  • 32 GB unified memory
  • 8–20B-class model inside, with room for retrieval
  • Speech, intent and photo models on the NPU
  • Crossings by permission, recorded on the screen

ConnectWith the box

Matter, Thread and Zigbee, built in.

The radios are in the chassis, not on a dongle. Lights, locks, sensors and thermostats pair once and keep working when the internet does not.

Up to 2–4 camera streams are detected and archived inside. Native Home Assistant runs inside, so nothing you have already set up is wasted.

  • Matter over Thread, Wi-Fi and Ethernet
  • Zigbee coordinator built in, Z-Wave by USB
  • 2–4 camera streams, all inside
  • Routines run on the box, offline

The front screen and the app both show one thing above all else: what stayed home and what left. Each crossing is listed with what was sent and why.

Every agent, assistant and robot in the house acts through Woven with its own identity, scoped permissions and a receipt.

  • Per-category rules: Inside, ask me first, or off
  • One tap to close the Gate
  • Agents run sandboxed with scoped credentials
  • Receipts for every consequential action

Outside · the routerWith the box

It is your Wi-Fi too.

Wi-Fi 7 dual-band for the whole house and 2.5 GbE WAN to the internet, on a separate network processor that cannot see inside. A guest network for visitors. Rules and schedules for every device.

One box replaces the router, the hub and the NAS, and keeps them apart.

UpgradeWith the box

Buy the chassis once. Upgrade the brain.

The chassis carries storage, radios, ports, cooling and a secure hardware identity for eight to ten years. The compute module carries the processor, graphics, NPU and memory, and is designed to be replaced every three to four years.

Power down, open the panel, swap the module, power up. Household data, device pairings, permissions and automations are exactly where you left them.

  • Tool-less module bay with a positive lock
  • Module attests to the chassis before storage unlocks
  • No re-pairing, no rebuilt automations
  • Upgrade modules from $600
What's in the box

The compute module on a slow turntable, seen from above and slightly in front: a machined graphite tray holding a dark green board; the processor under a brushed vapour chamber and a stack of 26 aluminium fins; four memory packages around it; six power stages along the back edge; an edge connector with 44 gold contacts along the front; and a pull handle on the back. The label on the tray reads Compute Module A1, Ryzen AI Max 390, 64 GB.

In the boxEngineering target

Everything you need. Nothing to subscribe to.

The box arrives with its module seated, its keys made, and the software already on it. Plug it in, scan the code on the screen, and it is running before the kettle boils.

Every app, the assistant and lifetime OS updates are included. A year of Gate crossings credit is too, and when it runs out nothing on the box changes.

What stands behind this page

  1. 1Engineering targetA target, not a price. No bill of materials has been costed at volume and nothing is for sale. A reservation takes no money and is not an order.
  2. 2Engineering targetA plan, not a commitment. No supplier has been engaged and no tooling has been ordered. Treat every date as the earliest it could happen if everything goes well.
  3. 3With the boxNot built. Today the assistant is a rule engine over what the box already holds, and it says so on every screen: it can find a file by name, count your photos, switch a light and read the receipts. There is no language model on the box and no calendar yet. The 20B to 70B class models on the specification sheet need the box's memory.
  4. 4With the boxNot built. Home control runs today against a simulated set of devices so the permissions, approvals and receipts can be exercised honestly. No radio has been fitted and no real device has been switched.
  5. 5Available nowBuilt and tested. Receipts form a hash chain; changing or removing one breaks the chain, and the box checks it nightly and on demand.
  6. 6With the boxPartly built. Photos, video and music play from the box in a browser today. The HDMI output, the living-room interface and the remote arrive with the box.
  7. 7With the boxNot built. The Network page reads what the Mac can see of the network it is on. There is no router and no second processor.
  8. 8With the boxNot built. No chassis or module has been manufactured, so nothing has been swapped or timed.
  9. 9With the boxNot built. Encryption at rest is real and running; the secure element, the attestation and the module that would hold them are hardware that does not exist yet.
  10. 10Engineering targetA target. The radio and network parts have not been selected, certified or measured.
  11. 11Engineering targetA target from the reference design. Nothing has been measured in a chassis, because there is no chassis.
  12. 12Engineering targetDrafted, not reviewed by counsel, and not in force. There is nothing to return.
  13. 13Engineering targetAn intention, not yet a written policy. Signed updates with automatic rollback are built and tested in the software today.
